Entre o ritual e o jogo, Inês e Vahan jogam com melodias, ritmos, gestos e passos de diferentes culturas para construir uma linguagem híbrida onde o popular e o contemporâneo se entrelaçam. Canções, danças e palavras revelam, com humor e poesia, questões sobre o mundo de hoje — das desigualdades aos modos de viver em comum, ao que nos liga, ao que partilhamos e a como criamos sentido em conjunto.
Livrar os produtos finitos da sua moldura, tirá-los da montra, voltar a dar-lhes vida, reciclá-los e devolvê-los à prática popular: Frente-a-Frente explora este jogo com violoncelo, tambores, voz e corpo, celebrando o espírito universal do popular como espaço de encontro e de criação coletiva, onde festa e reflexão coexistem.
Between ritual and play, Inês and Vahan engage with melodies, rhythms, gestures and steps from different cultures to build a hybrid language where the popular and the contemporary intertwine. Songs, dances and words reveal, with humor and poetry, questions about today’s world — from inequalities to ways of living together, what connects us, what we share, and how we create meaning collectively.
Freeing finished products from their frame, taking them out of display, bringing them back to life, recycling them and returning them to popular practice: Frente-a-Frente explores this game through cello, drums, voice and body, celebrating the universal spirit of the popular as a space for encounter and collective creation, where festivity and reflection coexist.
